Also, I wouldn't be so sure that politicians aren't callous enough to let pensioners received reduced benefits in lieu of inflation. Or do you think that situation is different because it is government-mandated pensions? If you are right though, then the amounts are calculable because they should roughly equal the bond market swapped by the FED (had the whole ordeal not occurred and the market been allowed to correct itself through dead banks).

But essentially what I'm reading is you don't see a way for inflation to stay around 3% forever.

Means Testing for Social Security and Medicare.
If you have assets or income, "you don't need the benefits" even though you probably paid in more than most.
Just another way of redistributing income.

This is fairly likely, but even doing so only would bring those programs into solvency. As SS has already been gutted and the funds used for a multitude of other things, reducing benefits (the net effect of a means test) would only bring that program into near-solvency and would be a source of funding.

It wouldn't be a source for funding the parade of handouts that the left seems to have fully bought in on...

Though I am not including SS in my calcs because, frankly, at 28 I fully expect to not see a dime. Ever tax dollar I pay in is the price of playing the game. :/

I'm actually not talking about social security: that is its own can of worms.

Is it being paranoid to think 'THEY' are watching us, and don't want us to do anything 'off grid'?

With facial recognition software and the proliferation of online cameras, the concept of privacy is an illusion. I'm not happy about it, but I'm not going to kid myself either. The technology already exists to follow anybody anywhere. A crime happens, the "authorities" begin to scour videos from the net. (police cameras, dash and body, security cameras, public cameras, etc.) They will be able to go back in time and watch everything, and everybody, in the vicinity of the crime. And, the number of cameras is increasing, as well as the quality of the video.
The only thing stopping it now is rejection from the public. (for now)
An insurance company has proven how little actual privacy means to people. Let us track your every movement with a device that you install in your car, and we'll save you a little money. It seems to be pretty popular.
Don't over estimate the value the average American "really" puts on privacy. They'll post all kinds of s#!t on FB, but give them a chance to save a couple of bucks and see what decision they make.

IRA’s and 401k’s

All electronic. Plus some is already there’s anyway.

They will make it graduated.

No one “needs” more than a certain amount in retirement.

This will be the mantra.

Next will be changing Social Security payouts, decreasing the amounts for wealthy retirees. No doubt increasing amounts for less wealthy people as this will all be about equality.

BTW. I know someone who had a low paying job in a socialist country. They said they paid 50% of their income to taxes.

Mikhail Gorbachev says the Soviet communism he served most of his life was "pure propaganda."

The former Soviet leader told a Columbia University audience on Monday that by the time he rose to power, with Soviet satellites in space, the ruling politicians "were discussing the problem of toothpaste, the problem of detergent, and they had to create a commission of the Politburo to make sure that women have pantyhose."

In most places that are socialist the local leadership understands that Marxism is pure propaganda. They talk about "sharing the weath" but it's all a con-game. The simple truth is that Marxism is simply an ideology that provides an excuse for illegitimate power. That is why Marxism is so popular with elites around the word. It's simply a con-game where a few benefit from the many.

By implementing a 7% to 10% excise tax on bank account assets, like they did in Cyprus some years back. https://www.marketplace.org/2013/03/18/ ... ed-cyprus/

A few years ago they sent up a trial balloon to force convert all IRA and other retirement accounts into government bonds. It did not go over well. The folks with retirement accounts hated the idea. Oh, I guess stock brokers did too.

In the last couple of years they sent up trial balloons to get rid of all cash money. Starting with $100 bills and 500 Euro notes. 'cause only "criminals" need big bills (or any cash). That balloon could have floated higher if, they didn't have a simultaneous initiative to keep 'bad' businesses from using banks. This coming from the folks that think "Guns=Bad".

I have seen the math that there is a 38% chance of seeing a revolution in the United States, in average lifespan of 78.7 years.

I want to know what is being done with all of the DNA collected from theSe COVID tests? And don’t tell me they aren’t saving it. Just because you are paranoid doesn’t mean they aren’t out to get you!

DNA / COVID Test
Heck, I didn't even think of that.

Wasn't there a storyline in The X-Files where DNA was collected from SmallPox Vaccine? I can't believe my Paranoia didn't click.
