Take on the NRA and its corrupting effect on Washington.
Expand background checks.
End the gun show loophole. All gun purchases should be subject to the same background check standards.
Ban the sale and distribution of assault weapons. Assault weapons are designed and sold as tools of war. There is absolutely no reason why these firearms should be sold to civilians.
Prohibit high-capacity ammunition magazines.
Implement a buyback program to get assault weapons off the streets.
Regulate assault weapons in the same way that we currently regulate fully automatic weapons — a system that essentially makes them unlawful to own.
Crack down on “straw purchases” where people buy guns for criminals.
Support “red flag” laws and legislation to ensure we keep guns out of the hands of domestic abusers and stalkers
Ban the 3-D printing of firearms and bump stocks
Sigh, much of this sounds like our very own Dan Patrick.
Unless we keep the barbarian virtues, gaining the civilized ones will be of little avail. Oversentimentality, oversoftness, washiness, and mushiness are the great dangers of this age and of this people." Teddy Roosevelt"

Hey, here's one how about National Socialist?
Nah, no one else would get the reference.
I like the ring of National Socialist Democratic American Party. We can call it N.S.D.A.P. for short.

Shouldn't that be National Socialist Democratic Un-American Party?

I am sick to death of watching this unabashed communist get interviewed by sycophantic newsfolks who tiptoe around his economic / political philosophies.
I have seen more than once a newsie refer to Sanders as a socialist and he corrects them to "Democratic Socialist" and they meekly apologize.
Would a Communist be better if we called them a Democratic Communist? How about Democratic Slaveholder, that makes it OK, right?

I see what you did there.

“I am deeply concerned not just by the rise of cases of coronavirus worldwide, but by the inadequate and incompetent response we have seen from Donald Trump and his administration.

It is outrageous that during Congressional testimony today, Trump’s HHS Secretary Alex Azar would not guarantee that a coronavirus vaccine would be affordable to all. Under the Trump doctrine, if you are wealthy you can buy a vaccine and not succumb to the sickness. If you are poor or working class, you may have to get sick or even die. That is an outrage. That is unacceptable. We need a vaccine that is available to all, not just those who can afford it.

Health care is a human right, period. So let me be clear: it has never been more important to finally guarantee health care as a human right by passing Medicare for All.”

How’s Cuba, Venezuela, China or Russia doing on that affordable vaccine. Sweden, UK, Germany or France got it ready yet?

Bernie has press conference scheduled in 30 minutes. They said he went home without talking to his supporters last night. Likely to pout. My bet is he is about to bow out. Looks like DemonRats are running a mentally challenged Joe Biden. I dunno how they plan to hide him from Trump.

Bernie has been aching for a fight at the Democratic convention. He probably won't win, but it looks to be an entertaining battle.

I don't know if you watched his press conference but I did and he hit on every major issue of the far left platform. Funny thing is, we know Bernie's platform but Joe Biden has yet to reveal one. I am not sure Joe could speak long enough to tell us a platform. I plan to watch the debate for entertainment purposes only.

Bernie is hoping for a Biden meltdown. On stage. He just might get one.
