I agree. The factory farms are responsible for most of it. I am not sure it will ever change. There are so many people to feed they are almost stuck with enhancement techniques to provide the growth needed to meet the demand.
I agree with the 2nd & 3rd sentences, but not the last. Its all about profit, not demand as we are already wasting a lot of food:
