Standing deadwood is also a mighty crush-injury hazard when a stiff breeze fells either the entire tree, or just a large limb. When mentoring young troops, we point out these as things to avoid pitching a tent/building shelter near, or stringing a hammock, where one of these "Widowmakers" can ruin your night.

Do you have any idea why they won't let her remove a dead tree?
Do what you say you're gonna do.

So does the city monitor the trees presence? Most cities I've lived in would have no clue a tree disappeared! I lived in Watauga and they had an ordinance that you had to have a permit to paint your house, city is closed on Saturday and Sunday, I painted my house on Saturday and was done by Sunday afternoon, I had two neighbors that had agreed to swear to the city my house was always that color, never heard a peep from the city!

Actually I found out it is dying tree, but I don't know all the details, I think you need an arborist to certify that the tree is dying or dead. Certain trees are protected or heritage trees.
You need to submit an application for a permit to remove trees and depending on the tree, submit a plan to replace the tree. A report from a certificated arborist must submit a report with
the application for the permit. For example you can't remove trees that are over 8 inches in diameter. Every home is required to have at least one tree facing the street. Each city has it's own
requirements and I haven't had any desire to look up all of the details. It's beyond belief.

I don't know about the rest of yall but I love hearing about Kalifornians enduring misery created by their crazy left wing policies. Maybe they should stop voting for Democrats if they are having discomfort. I hope they lose power for days on end. They deserve it.

That is truly beyond belief! I would have just fired up my chainsaw and made firewood out of it. The micromanagement of people's lives and property boggles the mind. I could NEVER live in such a place. At least not peacefully.

It is probably against the law to burn firewood.

My brother lives out in commieland and has had power off since Tuesday. He believes in 2A for him but nobody else. Go figure. As soon as I can reach him I want to know how that Tesla is doing. Charges pretty good by solar power?

Heh. Hope he has his own solar panel set up.

California encourages people to put solar panels on their roofs in conjunction with the power company. I'm sure the companies offer "incentives" to give them solar power. But...they don't work during the blackouts because they pump electricity directly into the power company's grid, not to the house. So when the power company shuts down the power grid the solar panels are useless.

In certain extreme situations, the law is inadequate. In order to shame its inadequacy, it is necessary to act outside the law to pursue a natural justice.

I think she is blaming the wrong people. The blame is on the democrats running that cesspool. They set this in motion from the get go. But I am sure the deceased man will vote democrat in the next election. Along with all the other dead people votes. People in Kalifornia never seem to get it.
