PORTLAND, OR – Police officers in Portland, Oregon, are still waiting for an apology from Barack Obama after campaign staffers of his recent rally in Portland, Oregon, setup porta potties directly on top of the Portland Police Memorial, which honors the agency’s 25 fallen police officers.

The Obama rally drew a crowd of over 75,000 people.

Officer Thomas Brennan, who was working overtime at the rally, took a picture of the offending toilets, with the American flag still at half mast because of Police Officers Memorial Day, directly behind them. The local law enforcement memorial service had been held at the site only five days earlier.

Despite a large amount of open areas in the vicinity, the campaign staffers claimed the toilets were placed on the memorial for safety reasons to accommodate wheelchair access.

The Obama campaign has not responded to requests for an apology.

I wish someone would put that picture on televison. Just the pictue with a few words explaining, nothing else for 15 seconds. Maybe that would have an impact on some of his disillusioned supporters. It's doubtful though.

Obama supporters are typically not the type to support LEO for the same reasons we support LEO.

They would root for the ones confiscating firearms ala Katrina.

Yes, that story should be all over the net.

The hits just keep coming. On googling ,"Decemberists open for Obama" . "A neo Marxist group that normally open their shows with the Soviet national anthem."

:mad5 I just went to the memorial they held here in Odessa. I have close friends and family who are LEO's. That just makes me angry for them to disrespect the memorial like that. I hope an apology is forth coming. Even with an apology, I hope someone took pics and starts circulating them.

May God help this country if that is what is considered "electable" in this day and age....

Posted the link and accompanying pic (with proper credit) on my blog as well.

It's not just LEO's. Obama and the sick people who support him would do the same in Arlington cemetary and think nothing of it. To be a liberal, you must think only of yourself and what the government will give you. They respect nothing that a decent american would. They might respect a brady bill, or gay marriage, or the right to "choose" to kill a viable baby with partial birth murder, or ban prayer from school, (and I could go on and on for pages)

Well, I'm not going to be surprised anymore...Once Hillary bows out today, and supports Barack Hussien Obama...

We'll see more of the same type of narrow-minded management of the remainder of the campaign, and in his future administration...

The main stream media, including Fox now, has gone relatively soft on McCain, but wait till next week after the sides are set...

I have nothing personal against Obama, his political record though, and my political philosophy are diametrically opposed...And that is why when it comes right down to the issues, conservatism is going to lose this time...The "people" want change...They like to "hope", and the "future" is yet to be seen...

With shallow ideals like that, how can we possibly win on the issues...

Supporting conservative candidates in the down ballot races is probably going to be the only way to stave off a complete liberal coup...
