Has anyone shot or own a Bergara B14 HMR in 308. I ordered one today. Next step is choosing an optic.

Late, but hey...

Longer barrel= bigger glass.

If you have the 20", and your concept is an "urban rifle", e.g., 300 yards or less, a 1-6x with lighted reticle could be an option. I have an older Burris Signature electro-dot on an 18" Steyr, that I really enjoy.

This is what I have:

This would be a more current concept:

I like Leupold QD rings, as they are light and work well. Not keen on the uber-blocky "tactical" offerings everyone is making now.

I've heard really good things about Vortex, and I'm extremely happy with my Sparc II.

Thanks, I put the Vortex 4x25-50 on it. I am getting 1/2 MOA at 200 and 1" over MOA at 300, 400 and 500 yards. My goal is 1/2" to 3/4 " MOA at 300, 400 and 500 yards. A bit more tweaking on my loads should get me there.
