Virginia Gun-Control Bills Defeated

#1

Post by KLB »

On Friday, news broke that the Virginia Senate Committee on Courts of Justice and the House Militia, Police and Public Safety Committee heard and voted to defeat many of Governor Ralph Northam’s requested gun control bills. As extreme as Oregon's bills are, these went much farther, regulating nearly every possible aspect of gun ownership in Old Dominion.

Virginia should be a good state for the Second Amendment. The problem comes from the counties close to Washington, D.C. , which are populous and consist mainly of out-of-state federal employees. I was once one of those myself when I lived in Reston, Virginia, but as I am from Texas, my votes were atypical for a federal employee.
