On 01 July Indiana will extend their four-year License to Carry Handgun (LTCH) to five years and remove the fee for the license. (Not sure about fingerprinting fees). The enabling statute also provides some language that is supposed to make the Indiana five-year license eligible for ATF approval to skip NICS checks when buying a firearm. Additionally there is some immunity from lawsuit for valid self-defense, including the ability to recover attorney's fees in some cases if your immunity is upheld by the court. Also can register to vote when you apply for a license. Indiana license applications are done online and routed through the local sheriff's office, if I understand correctly.

Indiana has also had, and will still offer, a lifetime LTCH. At this point not sure what the difference between a lifetime and a 5 year LTCH will be other than the length of time it is valid. Of course the lifetime LTCH is not eligible for the NICS exemption.
