Idaho Campus carry

Colleges are places to learn, not die at the hands of attention-starved mass-murderers.

Fox 12 News - Idaho to preempt colleges on gun carry rules
http://forum.opencarry.org/forums/showt ... arry-rules" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It's already legal to open and conceal carry ....http://www.opencarry.org/college.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

But now the legislature is moving forward to preempt colleges from interfering in concealed or open carry.
Bill introduced and article http://www.fox12idaho.com/Global/story.asp?S=14185449" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

"I think it endangers everyone on campus, or whoever is in the vicinity," said sophomore marketing student Keyoa Carr. Carr is from Los Angeles and says guns on campus is the last thing BSU needs.

I like the "attitude" the way they say it; implying it's "legal" (everywhere) but Campus "policy" needs preempting (to avoid expulsion/termination).
(Probably not factual, but a good perspective)

That "sounds" like an easier battle to fight than "making it legal" for college "kids" to "get" guns on campus. (passing out free guns to every student? ... oh noooooo :smilelol5: )

Another "update"

Idaho's guns-on-campus bill fails to advance

I don't know details, but sounds like Senate leader's son was shot at an OFF CAMPUS PARTY? so he doesn't want other students able to defend themselves ON CAMPUS so that other parents can feel the loss he felt?
(Like that Psychiatrist wrote on the anti-gun mentality?)

A Psychiatrist Examines The Anti-Gun Mentality
By Sarah Thompson, M.D.

"If I were to summarize this article in three sentences, they would be:

(1) People who identify themselves as "victims" harbor excessive amounts of rage at other people, whom they perceive as "not victims."

(2) In order psychologically to deal with this rage, these "victims" utilize defense mechanisms that enable them to harm others in socially acceptable ways, without accepting responsibility or suffering guilt, and without having to give up their status as "victims."

(3) Gun owners are frequently the targets of professional victims because gun owners are willing and able to prevent their own victimization. "
