Ya SEE...RIGHT THERE PEOPLE!!! If we had stricter gun laws this would NEVER happen again! Or at least that's the spin that's gonna come out of this... Just watch... Hopefully it was a misunderstanding and turns out to be nothing but as we know... Never let a crisis go unexploited in the name of gun control...

In 2009, a woman was decapitated while having coffee with a fellow student in a campus cafe. Police said at the time that officers detained the suspect within minutes of being called. The school said it sent some 30,000 notifications by voicemail, email and text message, though they were not sent as emergency alerts because the suspect was already in custody.

The Virginia attorney general's office told Williams that "a public university generally cannot prohibit open or concealed carry of a firearm on campus grounds," even though a university can ban openly carried guns in campus buildings or at specified events.

But the state attorney general has determined that public universities cannot bar gun owners with valid concealed carry permits from bringing firearms into campus buildings.

The Brady Campaign responded to Thursday's incident with a different take, obviously. http://www.bradycampaign.org/media/press/view/1424/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Moreover, the University had been criticized and recently fined -- unfairly so -- for failing to respond sufficiently to the double homicide on the early morning of April 16, 2007, that turned out to be but the first wave of far a far worse rampage to come later that morning.

maybe im slow or just dont understand, but why are they using the term "gunman"? To me when i hear the word gunman it means that someone with a firearm has already committed an act. The 3 boys said they thought they saw what may have been a handgun. It seems like they trough this word gunman in to cause a panic or fear. maybe im off base.. any thoughts if im seen this wrong

I like what I saw somewwhere else.

"Why hasn't there been another mass murder at Virginia Tech? Because nobody has tried."

NOthing to stop it, not there or on any other campus.
