a female student was walking in the 400 block of Lakewood Street when a man jumped out from behind a parked car and grabbed her from behind at about 10:30 p.m. The woman turned around, and the man grabbed her by the throat.

I think she handled it very well. To bad she couldn't be armed.

If this were my daughter he would still be walking with a limp and there would probably be a couple of other marks to identify him by.
I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.
