SOg Armory Houston Hiring

#1

Post by FL450 »

I was at Sog Armory today in SW Houston(just browsing of course) and noticed a Hiring sign on their door. I got distracted by my off the shopping list purchases and forgot to inquire about the details.
I love the sound smell of jet fuel in the morning.

And now they are out of business.

I don't really know. I was in that area last week and thought I'd stop in. It's across town so I'm rarely over there. The last time I went the store was so full of stuff there wasn't room for anything else. I got there and the sign was up on the building facade but the space was empty with for lease signs. There were no "we moved to ....." signs that I could see anywhere so I presume they're out of business.

Dont know if that was true or they got it revoked.

Looks like they've moved to Stafford:

You'd think they'd have signs at their prior location. I suspect the rent is better in Stafford and maybe the store traffic as well.

I had to be about 2 miles down the road today. They've apparently changed their name to Houston Armory. They are in a steel building that is behind another business. They have a sign by the road but no road frontage. They are closed Sun/Mon so I can't say for certain they are still in business but they at least are at the 13335 Murphy address with a sign by the road.

Houston Armory is a different company. I think SOG is in the same shopping area as HA from what I've read

maybe their customer service? I stopped in once looking for a thread protector and the guy looked at me like I was speaking mandarin. From his reaction and customer service I wonder how a shop that builds custom AR's even know what a flash hider is.
