I'm starting to feel like I'm in line at WalMart. The only difference is that the people at WalMart can argue slightly faster with less brown-nosing.

Is it just me, or do several members visibly age during some of Hochberg's ramblings? I'm pretty sure that clerk was a small child in the gallery when they convened.

Yeah...I cant believe I absorbed an entire day of that. And didnt even get to hear our baby get voted into law (yet).

Hopefully when I get home there will be a better post here! (or at least know we have to wait until tomorrow)

They should let me head the texas house, I could move things along quite quickly.

say uh more than 3 times and you have to sit out for the day.

As the old saying goes, "Laws are like sausages--you don't want to see how they're made."

There is a reason I'm listening from home instead of sitting in the House gallery at the Capitol.

The committee meetings are bad enough, but sitting through a whole day of floor debate might have melted my brain.

At least at home I can mute the computer when they start recognize birthdays and wedding anniversaries or honoring little league teams.

The House has adjourned for the day. HB 1893 was not addressed.

All I know is I just wasted 6 hours listening to pure stupidity and incompetence at its finest.

edit: as in, way to much baloney to wade through to get anything done, nothing personal if any reps or senators are reading this lol.

The Senate State Affairs Committee is meeting now to vote on several bills, including SB1164 (Campus-Carry). Here is the link if you want to watch. http://www.senate.state.tx.us/bin/live.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

They're only adjourned until 7 PM. They broke for dinner.
