The language on gun selling seems to be the biggest issue:

Yeah, Joe Biden was there 30 years ago, and helped create the worthless "Gun Free School Zones" that codified schools as soft targets for violent attackers.

Be advised - This law codifies Red Flag laws.
Your guns are subject to seizure due to a claim by any individual.
This could include an ex spouse or girlfriend, a disgruntled employee or employer, an angry neighbor or coworker.
Your social media will be scrutinized for anything that could make you look bad.
Delete Twitter, Facebook, etc - NOW!

Although I fully expect the left to use the lack of the above as evidence that you are unbalanced and need to have your weapons seized.

Does not. Read the bill. This is what it does:

Support State Red Flag Laws
Provide $750 million in much-needed funding over the next five years to support crisis intervention services, including the implementation of state Red Flag laws. The bill will also unlock an additional well-established existing funding stream to support the implementation of Red Flag laws.

Texas would have to implement something further which is unlikely.

Question:

Will this legislation have any impact on John Cornyn's A+ rating from the NRA?

Hmm?

Bribes states to implement red flag laws that the feds can't. (similar to getting corporations to implement covid policies that the feds couldn't.)

I long for the day when Charles is able to give us a complete accounting of 1. the NRA's difficulties and 2. their political strategies…because right now, it isn’t looking good.

The specific measures in this bill do not concern me nearly so much as does "the camel getting his nose into the tent." If the anti-2A people can get this, what will they try for next time?
