Re: "Gun sales booming after Obama's win -- Customers say they fear Democrats will pass new restrictions," Saturday news story.
I know a bunch of gun owners who voted for Barack Obama, and I know many more who didn't because they don't believe him.
They don't believe that a product of Chicago politics could be any less anti-gun rights than the city's Daley political machine.
They don't believe him because of his past statements and voting record, both of them anti-gun rights.
And they choose to vote once again with their hard-earned dollars.
And many of us hope that we are wrong, but we are hedging our bets.

Good letter, Jim. I think that the antis could have "intuited" the reason why, but it's good that you spelled it out for them.
The last train out of any station will not be filled with nice people.
