"The Donald" NOT RUNNING

As the name indicates, this is the place for gun-related political discussions. It is not open to other political topics.

"The Donald" NOT RUNNING

#1

Post by AEA »

FOX is reporting they have a written statement from a spokesman within the Trump organization that Donald has decided not to run in the Presidential Race for 2012.

I think he was Pro 2nd but with all the spin, who knows.
I think him not running gives the Republicans a better chance at beating "His Highness".

Good. The guy is a fruitcake. A smart fruitcake, but a fruitcake none the less. Anybody who thinks a com-over like that is fooling anyone would be shamelessly trying to pull the wool over the voters eyes about almost anything else.

Here is what he said:
Dems and Reps are both wrong on guns

It’s often argued that the American murder rate is high because guns are more available here than in other countries. Democrats want to confiscate all guns, which is a dumb idea because only the law-abiding citizens would turn in their guns and the bad guys would be the only ones left armed. The Republicans walk the NRA line and refuse even limited restrictions.

For assault weapon ban, waiting period, & background check

I generally oppose gun control, but I support the ban on assault weapons and I support a slightly longer waiting period to purchase a gun. With today’s Internet technology we should be able to tell within 72-hours if a potential gun owner has a record.

You have to admit that it would almost be worth it to have him run & win.

Then, at the inauguration, he could look at Obama and say, "You're fired!"

Good. I believe he was Obama's pick for the Republican party anyway.

He decided not to run when he found out he couldn't have his name (TRUMP) put on the front of the Whitehouse in 8' tall letters.

I think Obama had dreams about Trump as a candidate , I don't think he wouldn't stand a chance in a general election. You could put him vs. Michael Ducacuss and I think he would still lose by 10 points. Admittedly I thought it would of been hilarious. :evil2: :biggrinjester: :evil2: :biggrinjester:

(EDIT)
Yeah I had a feeling that this was nothing more than a publicity stunt, just wanted to boost his ratings.

He never was running. It was just free publicity for him.

The "impending" Prez run of Donald Trump was nothing more than a PR
piece for his TV show. He was already endorsed by Meatloaf, so he was halfway
there. :-)

Trump's take on solving serious problems (oil prices and China) was to curse them
out like some Bronx goombah. If it was only that easy to solve America's problems.
