Looking for a little help, on some OLD firearm law.

I am looking for the TEXT (photo or scanned image will work) of HB115 which was filed by Frederick Edward Grothaus from the 12th legislature (1871). I am researching this for some perspective. Now who can tell me why I am looking for this?

Would it be in one of the 925 pages of the house journal for that session?

It was the last time the Republicans held a majority of seats in the Legislature....before now. ALSO, the first to which African-Americans were elected.

Still looking for your HB115. Zat the one that prohibited open carry, by any chance?

I found the 'House Journal' for 1871 and have searched it for that particular HB # but the search doesn't bring up anything, maybe there is some wording on that bill that a search would find? It appears to be typed and was published by J.G Tracey, State Printer in 1871. Its 468 pages, would you like the link?

I am 99% sure this is the very bill that outlawed the carrying of handguns. But without reading the bill's text I can not say for 100% certain. I am slowly going through the journal pages looking for it, but I was hoping that someone might know where to find it a little quicker.

JMRA, have you found the original text of the bill? I've been scouring the pages and can't seem to find the original wording of the complete bill as it submitted, only finding a summary.
