Lawsuit Against Gun Sale Website Allowed to Proceed

A Wisconsin appeals court on Thursday ruled that the daughter of a woman killed in a 2012 mass shooting can sue the operator of a firearms classified ad website from which the killer illegally bought his gun.
This is in Wisconsin, against the on-line broker Armslist.com. I haven't used them, so am not familiar with them. The way I understand it, the web site operator isn't a gun dealer, it's just a web site that puts buyers and sellers together, sort of like Craig's List or many others.

Doesn't seem like a good precedent to me, but maybe I'm wrong? :headscratch

Anybody know anything about them or done business with them?

Maybe she should sue the murderer... or his estate, family that failed to help him or the number of others who failed him...

This is literally like suing ford over a drunk driver killing someone.

I'm hoping for a level headed jury and a reverse damages award.

I would argue it's more like suing Autotrader.com over a drunk driver killing someone. Suing the gun manufacturer would be akin to suing Ford.

The reporting is so vague it is difficult to know what "really" happened. Were FFLs involved? What was the paper-trail? Will try to keep up with this one.
Please know and follow the rules of firearms safety.

Another progressive socialist lawsuit as part of the agenda. Sue us out of our guns is part of the plan.
The left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it. - Dennis Prager
