And here I am afraid of a future with robots having guns.

This is apparently the source of all the news reports focusing on the statement which occurs at the end of the article.

I am not familiar with the Brave One, where her character buys a black market gun to kill her husband’s murderers.

Supposedly, John Hinkley attempted to assassinate President Ronald Regan due to an infatuation with Jodie Foster.

She played an FBI agent in the movie The Silence of the Lambs.

but it’s not my personality to believe that celebrities have the expertise to try to influence other people’s ideas or their feelings, politically.” say Jodie.
then proceeds to do exactly that "rlol"
But I don’t believe that people should have access to life-or-death situations at any emotional time in their life. I don’t really believe that a human being who feels [things] should have the option at their fingertips.”
Duh! They already have a weapon at their fingertips that kills as many as all long guns combined. Hands and Fists!
She's a liberal robot herself.

I would be more comfortable if she stopped giving interviews.

It's strange to me that actors who make a living reciting other people's words in exactly the manner another person wants them uttered would think we should listen to their musings on any subject.

we are designed to have emotions that overflow and that are not guided by our heads
Speak for yourself, if you like, Ms. Foster; but don't presume to speak for the rest of us, or expect us to hold that narrow worldview you seem to have that all our psyches are the same......(like yours?)

I thought once an entertainer or artist reaches celebrity status, they automatically acquire the knowledge to be the expert on every subject known and unknown in the world!! Or, they are inflicted with diarrhea of the mouth.
