And I’ll add #11: The AR-15 is a lot of fun to shoot!

Do arms and legs count?
In certain extreme situations, the law is inadequate. In order to shame its inadequacy, it is necessary to act outside the law to pursue a natural justice.

They may be manly but you should have seen my daughters face when I took her out to shoot one for the first time 2 weeks ago. She was a true pro and she is too pretty to be called manly.

I think that it was the worst Stoner designed rifle. The AR16, which eventually became the AR18 and contributed its gas system to most modern rifles, was ultimately a far better idea. Using a carrier extension as the long stroke oprod and piston is an interesting idea, but Kalashnikov did that better by making the oprod longer rather than having a gas tube.

I agree with the idea that we should own a rifle LIKE the AR15, but I think that there's some room for debate in which rifle is the best for any one user. If only bullpup kits could fit on the new Galils...

10. The more Americans who own AR-15s, the more likely the Supreme Court will consider them “in common use.”

I only wish this one were true but I firmly believe the anti gun crowd does not care how common any gun is. They are after all firearms and the AR platform is their favorite emotional whipping boy.

That's a great addition...probably should be #1.
