I need to think about buying my first gun.
Is that sarcasm or do you really not own any guns?
It’s not sarcasm, but fear.

From watching the video, my take is that this is a load of baloney. The guy was well within his rights and the store over reacted horribly.

That being said, I would like to see what transpired before the video started. As others have said, we don't really know if he was acting a fool or calmly mentioned the gun counter being unattended.

My bet is that he is one of those cops who think only cops should have a gun.

MWAG yelling at the gun counter.... It IS all on him.

Were I in the same position and felt strongly about it, I'd have filed a report with the police, letting them know that the gun counter was unattended. Maybe sent it to ATF. Not my job to fix Walmart.
I couldn’t tell from the video how the firearms were unattended. Unless firearms were out in the open with no means of securing them the ATF will not care until after something is done with them.

There is more to this story than what is being told. It is slanted by the way it is reported. Yes, both sides slant the actual truth with partial truth. One just does it more than the other.

I'm sure that's probably correct. As in every case, even if there is no intentional bias things get left out.

But seeing more there than was reported is a kind a bias too.

How can one manager (low man on the totem pole) have you from all Walmart’s nationwide. If I was a manager, what I was ok with him? Can I override the treaspass for all stores nationwide?

I'm not saying he deserved to be treated badly or trespassed for life, but, there were, literally, a million better choices the guy could have made.
I must have missed the yelling at the gun counter part. There was nothing in what I read (unless I totally missed it) that said he was yelling. Only that he asked to speak to a manager about the counter being unlocked and unattended.
In the twitter link in the OP, his text is below the videos. About 7 lines from the top he writes that he "yelled"... "Customer assistance needed in sporting goods!"... after hearing that request being ignored 4 times over the intercom.

I'll try to embed it here... sometimes Twitter hates me.

I can vouch that Walmart has terrible customer service and response to the intercom. Just last Wednesday it took me over 15 min., 4 interactions with Walmart employees (twice with the Asst. Mgr.), two intercom pages, and finally Eeyore showed up so I could pluck a $9.00 headlamp out of the locked case.

I can understand, and might have done it myself, him yelling for customer service. I have been known to call the store on the phone to request help while I am standing in the department. I do think, that as an OCer, you should be careful of how you project yourself, and the rest of us. There might have been a better way of voicing his concern.

So did he get on the intercom himself or just yell it loudly in the store? It is kind of a goofy thing to do but still does not sound real threatening.

If you're OC-Ing, failing to consider the circumstances is on you. Like it or not.

I do agree with this. Whether one is OC or CC one must realize they are walking around with the ability to utilize deadly force and it is important to maintain a very docile presence.

For those of you that know me, don't laugh at this.

I try not to draw attention to myself most of the time.

When I'm CCing I try even more at that.

And here's the ironic part, when I'm OCing I try even harder to not draw attention to myself.

Last time i went to Walmart was to buy some plastic tubs they had on sale for $4 ea. My mom is moving so I figured I would just buy what they had. I got 20 and went to check out. Short story, 45 minutes later, the store manager said we would sell be 5 even though there was no limit. He said “5 is all you need anyways”. I left before i did something I would regret and end up worse than this joker.
