Bread & Circuses for the masses.

The only useful part of the four charges they were presented was finding out why existing laws aren’t working. Which is because they aren’t being enforced but that’s a liberal DA rabbit hole problem that we won’t go down. The other three charges are just Games to keep the masses distracted.

The fact that Nevarez and Moody are on the House committee shows that there is no seriousness in this process.

Bonnen screws Texas gun-owners again. The Bonnen Committee consists of:

A-Rated Republicans = 7
D-Rated Democrats = 4 (Two should be rated F; i.e. Nevarez and Moody.)
F-Rated Democrats = 2

Be sure to let your Representatives know how you feel about Bonnen. BTW Dennis, the NRA is not a fringe organization.

When the legislature is in session nothing is safe or sacred.

Apparently they aren’t safe even when the legislature isn’t in session.

And Bonnen used to be A rated, did he not? So an A rating may not mean that much anymore.

Charles, is there ANY chance that republicans will remember Bonnen's deceitfulness and replace him in he next session? Do they have the votes?

Republicans only have a 17 vote majority in the house. I suspect Bonnen would have broad support from democrats and some republicans. There would have to be a MAJOR overturn in the house, for Bonnen to not be reelected speaker. This assumes he defeats his primary and general opponents.

Bonnen's A rating was based upon his voting record and it was justified. He was always a good vote. His tenure as Speaker was not good. Republicans will not dump Bonnen unless voters put pressure on their representatives.

I do not care about the back room deals and the unified front. Every representative is on record voting for Bonnen as the speaker. To me, that shows the politicians in Austin do not have our best interests in mind and will not fight for what is right.

Bonnen is Straus 2.0 in more ways than one.

But never forget these politicians got their A rating from the same organization that loves the POTUS who enacted more gun control through unilateral executive action than Obama.
