Don't print many. The CHL-100 document and test are under revision and will be new 1/1/2016 to add requirements for open carry.

The CHL 100, along with all the other blank forms are on the site where the other poster posted the CHL100 link.

Slightly off topic, but related to "don't print too many out..."

I'm kind of surprised that they are already issuing licenses with "License to Carry" but yet the test etc don't include any of the new info. In my instructor class in August the DPS guys were pretty fuzzy on the new stuff also, but you'd think they'd have the info, syllabus, and test already updated with only a month and half to go. I taught a class today and brushed on the 30.07 info and holster requirements, but it's still not technically part of the curriculum as I read it.

Typical.

I have also been adding open carry and campus carry to my classes. Not the law yet, but it won't be long before my students will be able to do the new things, and I figure they need to be informed.
God and the soldier we adore,
In times of danger, not before.
The danger gone, the trouble righted,
God's forgotten, the soldier slighted.

Me too. I am adding some OC content as well as holster requirements. If they don't hear it now....when? No requirement for continuing education. :???:

I always recommend a (reduced cost) refresher course after each legislative session to all my students to help keep them informed of the latest updates. Since they don't need to shoot or even take the exam, I offer it at about half the price of the full class. I have recommended that people start looking at the refresher course in January of the year following the legislative session.

Just wondering, how many of those courses have you sold?

Sadly, none as of yet. But then again, I do recommend that they do it in January, so that I have the new course outline. So we shall see in a few months if anyone takes me up on it.

I always tell them that the State does not require them to "learn" the new laws, but they are required to "know" the new laws.

The download link has the CHL-100 (Rev 12/2015). Is this the correct form starting 1/1/2016?
The last CHL-100 was dated (Rev 8/2011). This form is no longer available for download.
