Prayers for my brother!

Whether the need is great or small, there is power in prayer, especially when God's people raise their voices together.

Prayers for my brother!

#1

Post by puma guy »

My older brother is in very serious condition. He went to the ER Tuesday passing blood and vomiting blood. It took two days to get him into a room and out of the ER and do the endoscopy and repair. Even though he had no previous symptoms they found 7 stomach ulcers, one of which was affecting an artery that was the source of all the bleeding. He was in very grave condition at one point receiving 4 units of blood. His blood level has once again dropped and they are deciding what path forward to take. His wife came down with the flu and had to leave the hospital this morning. Please pray for him and his wife. Thank you.

I found out about this yesterday at lunch. However, at that time, we believed the surgery had been successful. He is in my prayers.

I want to thank everyone for their prayers and ask for continued prayers for my brother. He received 3 more units of blood and his hemoglobin count has risen to 10. Not the greatest, but much better than it was @ 6.2 and we're hoping his body will be able to produce cells to increase it. Other news so far is they haven't had to go back in to see if there is still some hemorrhaging. Some additional good news; his wife went to the doctor and the flu test was negative, though they gave her anti flu meds. She was able to return to his bedside. Thank you all for your prayers and thank you for continued prayer. I hope my next post is about him being released to go home.
