Re: Colorado: Mountain lion enters home, lounges on couch, eats cat
I think you are all missing one significant point. I have to mourn a little for that brave little housecat that challenged the mountain lion entering HIS domain.

Re: Colorado: Mountain lion enters home, lounges on couch, eats cat
I do feel sad that someone lost a pet, but, more than likely, the cougar made entry through a "cat door". A lot of people don't realize, that building a house in remote areas, intrudes upon the natural wildlife, some of which is dangerous to pets and humans. Their day to day activities, will probably frighten away, the cougar's natural food sources, so it does what it can to survive. It could have been much worse, if the cougar, decided, it liked the taste of two legged, prey, more than four legged. I live in the country, and there are a lot of people who move out near me, who lose pets, to coyotes, owls, hawks, and a wide assortment, of animals. The majority are lost due to being left outside, at night, or allowed to run free. JMHO
