FTF selling question
Whenever I sell a pistol, I have no issues doing the transaction in a public parking lot. If I sell a long rifle, think Mosin length, is that ok to do in public? I checked FWPD website and they don't allow firearm sales in their "safe space" at the station. Anyone know a good type of location to transact a long rifle sale? Maybe a gun store/range parking lot? Thanks!

Let's see... I've done... Walmart, Kroger, CVS, McDonalds, and I'm sure a few more I've forgotten about.

I usually do mine in parking lots of places that sell guns i.e. Cabelas, Bass Pro Academy. Even though this is Texas, there might be calls from anxious newcomers from commiefornia

Re: FTF selling question
I have generally done transactions in a public parking lot usually a big box store or a restaurant. Some police departments offer space to do transactions. I believe Carrollton PD does this for example.

Re: FTF selling question
I have always done the sale in a public parking lot but never alone, my wife sits in the car gun at hand. Actually never had a problem. My local police department bans weapon sales in their safe space too. I don't know why a legal transaction should be banned by the police. It is a LEGAL transaction.
Re: FTF selling question
I usually have someone with me as well. The only 2 sites that I trade on is this one and Texas gun trader. So pretty trustworthy crowd. And of course I’m carrying.rotor wrote: ↑Sun Nov 25, 2018 7:09 pm I have always done the sale in a public parking lot but never alone, my wife sits in the car gun at hand. That seems odd. Maybe they don't think it's that safe after all.MustangGlocker wrote: ↑Sun Nov 25, 2018 12:21 pmI checked FWPD website and they don't allow firearm sales in their "safe space" at the station.
I've bought rifle and a handgun from two different forum members in parking lots. Sold a couple handguns in parking lots to forum members. Bought one rifle in a forum members/friends home.
