Poll: Do you Open Carry?
There have been a few questions about open carry lately on the forum. We all have our own opinions, and they differ. For the new LTC's among us trying to make a decision, I thought it would be good to let them know what the members here do.
Do what you say you're gonna do.

Re: Poll: Do you Open Carry?
I OC most of the time. I CC at church, or if I have to go into a 30.07 posted location. Usually just by untucking my shirt.
Cold weather coats, jackets etc. cover my gun but I'll usually remove them once I'm inside.

Re: Poll: Do you Open Carry?
I carry my S&W M&P M2.0 9mm 5inch openly and my Ruger LCR .38 concealed as my default. I cover my M&P when given effective notice or the weather/situation dictates. So, in Austin and points east, I am almost always carrying openly. Works best for me. Your mileage will vary.

Need another option: rarely or only a few times a month. I chose occasionally, but should be rarely.

This is me. Can't carry where I work on a Federal installation, and I'm at work five days a week, minus major holidays. I don't tend to make stops traveling between the house and work, though, so my carry situations are limited to weekends and those major holidays, pretty much.

Okay, I just tried to add another option, but I can't find a way to do that. Sorry.
Do what you say you're gonna do.

I used to OC a lot more, then I got a nice luxury car with napa leather seats. Now I don't OC as much.

Occasionally only because I hardly ever tuck in my shirt and when I do, it makes me look fat

Re: Poll: Do you Open Carry?
I registered all the time. Only exceptions are:
Church during service. I have no problem w/ OC outside or grounds work and neither do our members. One other man and one lady OC pretty regular. The very rare time I go someplace posted 30.07 that I just HAVE to be there.
Rest of the time OC.

Carry 24-7 or guess right.

Re: Poll: Do you Open Carry?
I answered "never" because I OC only on my own land, which shouldn't count. You could always do that.

Re: Poll: Do you Open Carry?
I'm pretty similar. I OC my main gun and CC a backup gun everywhere I go unless posted or church - and even in church I will OC at events outside of regular service (worship practice, picnics, etc). If I don't OC, I'll just secure my main gun and CC my backup gun.

Re: Poll: Do you Open Carry?
I'm working at a new gun range/gun store (guess which one) part time so I open carry there and on any errands I run to or from the range, Otherwise I usually have a light cover garment that may or may not come off in restaurants.
FYI, if you're on the NW/Cypress area come by sometime. It's a very nice, and very new indoor range.
