Story updated at Flightmare's link.
Authorities are searching for a suspect who shot a DPS Trooper after refusing to pull over.

A DPS spokesperson said a Highway Patrol Trooper tried to pull over a car for a traffic violation on the Dallas North Tollway near Spring Creek around 2:15 p.m. However, the driver refused to pull over and sped off until he took the Lebanon Road exit and pulled into the La Valencia at Starwood Apartments.

The caption is: Caught on Camera: Video captures DPS trooper get shot, injured at Frisco apartment complex
You do see that he gets shot but it isn't graphic or gross, the trooper is able to get to cover. It looks like he took a round to the leg. I'm not sure why he chose to advance on the target without backup but we'll have plenty of time to second guess later. It sounds like everything turned out as well as it could considering a trooper was shot.

Would love to hear the police radio audio while watching that video above.

Happy to hear that the officer's surgery was successful. And glad the suspect was captured alive. Hope he serves a very long prison term.

If I were the guy in the apartment and could’ve seen the BG, I would’ve grabbed my rifle and helped from my window instead of doing video. But maybe he had nothing except his camera.
