Anyone know if this place is carry friendly?

Just bought a membership, Since it would cost me, my wife, and 3 kids $100 for 1 day, I bought a membership for $115 for year round. Just wanna make sure I can carry legally while there.

According to the 30.06 app. It's posted both 06 and 07, HOWEVER.....

Main door signage is marked as invalid, as the lettering is only 1/4" in height, and if parking in the parking garage there is no sign on that entrance. Think I'll carry on.

As is, carrying concealed is just that... CONCEALED, no one should see it of you're doing it properly.

I just wanted to say that the Houston Museum of Natural Science is a great place to visit.
Their exhibits are varied and highly educational. I have been there many times and have enjoyed them. :tiphat:

I’ve been there a few times, armed.

Didn’t pay attention to the signs, I am not subject to them.

I'm especially interested in their gun exhibit. Guns and arms from the 1500-1800s. My kids are excited to go as they've never been, and they love science!

Thanks for replies! :txflag:

I was there a few weeks ago. If there were 30.06 or 30.07 signs, I didn’t notice them.

Is the museum city property, or owned by a non-profit org?

The signage is laughable. We parked in the garage, and there is none at that entrance. On the main door the sign is about 6in long by 2in high. Letters are about 1/4in or less in size.

Last time I went, there was 30.06 & 30.07 signs. Didn't stop to measure the height of the letters. Since I was wish family and did not want debate my wife, I secured my gun in the gun safe in the vehicle.

I didn't measure them, just a guess. My wife knows I'll walk right past a 30.xx sign without a thought if it's unenforceable.

There are a LOT of cops who are set to patrol this place, and the entire district area. I thought about striking up a convo with the cop at the front security desk and seeing if he was aware that the 30.06 signs were unenforceable. But I figured it would only cause more issue where there wasn't one, either LTC'ers will know the laws surrounding it and decide to carry any way. Or they'll come in through the garage entrance like we did and never ever see a sign, or they will see it and trek back to their car to disarm.
