Palmer Events Center - Austin

#1

Post by CoffeeNut »

Hey all, I'm taking the AFD civil service test and it's being held at the Palmer Events Center which is a City of Austin owned building that seems to frequently post 30.06/07 signs. Is it possible for the city to enforce these signs for a city test if they're even posted for this event?

San Antonio had pretty strict rules about what you could bring but there was no mention of firearms nor were there 30.06 signs. Has anyone been to Palmer recently?

I did check Texas3006 and there are multiple photos showing what should be invalid 30.06 signs that go up for SXSW and other events.

They were posted for the Austin Marathon packet pickup. No metal detectors or wanding though

Thanks! I don't see them using them for a test either.

No, the AG opinion is that people renting the space of .gov owned buildings can post. The city wouldnt be able to post...legally.
