Remington 870 barrel shortening in Houston

#1

Post by denwego »

I've got a Form 1 coming soon on a Remington 870 for an AOW, and I'm looking for someone in the Houston area who might be able to help me shorten the barrel and magazine tube into a 2+1 length. I have a feeling I could cut and rethread the tube on my own, but I don't have the knowledge to re-weld the barrel support ring attachments, and it's impossible to find anything premade online shorter than the 14" TAC-14 one.

Anyone have any suggestions or help?

Ed Van Den Burg is another option. He threaded a couple of 870 barrels for choke tubes and did an outstanding job.

Thanks all! I'll look into these folks soon... probably have about another week to wait on the stamp, based on the trackers!
