LTC and DL rewewal
Geez, Got both my LTC and DL renewal notices in the mail today... Of course I have to go to the DL office this year because I did it online last time... It was easier to do my LTC renewal than it was my DL...... Oh well... At least I don't have to go to Florence for my instructor renewal for another 2 years.

The last time I renewed my DL, which was a few years ago, I went to the local office and the wait time was essentially "You ain't gonna get seen today!"
I figured out that they allocate a certain number of reservations each day. You have to get logged in as soon as the open at 8AM, and go through a several-step process, but if you're quick enough you can snag a confirmed time to renew. Confirmed is apparently a nebulous term, but it actually worked out so that I had to wait less than 30 minutes.

The current eye test is a sheet of paper hanging on the wall next to the check in booth.
Be sure to memorize the bottom 2 lines while you are waiting to check in.
