??? Free NRA Membership ???
I ran across a website advertising a 1 year free NRA membership. Although I have no problems paying for the membership, I found this to be a little odd. Anyone know if it is true or not?
The site i found the link on is http://www.buymilsurp.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
When I click on the banner it takes me to https://www.nrahq.org/nrabonus/accept-membership.asp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thanks for the reply. I will pass this on to a few that I know want memberships but can't afford it currently.
Re: ??? Free NRA Membership ???
You're welcome, but tell them to expect daily begging letters and emails asking you to actually pay for it after it is issued. I paid up in the end to avoid the spam. No such thing as a free lunch and all that.

I signed up for it back in April, and I get weekly solicitation emails, plus the latest update for the ILA.....that's about it.

Re: ??? Free NRA Membership ???
I signed up my wife and I...with my email for both...and I get them too. Most get sent to "neverland" - hey there MoonWalke - it is picked up bt ZOneAlarm and moved to deletr. I go back into Zone Alarm and tell it to let the emails rough....Zone Alarm knows better and I don't see them until I check the rejected pile...every 3rd day! Clockwork! That DOES NOT convince me to pay them. That PISSES ME OFF to the point that I do't want to pay them. Don't harrass me! I get enough of that in real life...don't need it.
I know that it was free. I know that I should pay. I know that I ASKED for it by signing myself and wife up for free. HOWEVER! I am an ex-recruiter and I can say...with LOTS of proof, that bugging the _______ outta people is NOT THE RIGHT MARKETING STRATEGY!~ If this is the example...for free...what are you gonna do to me if I PAY something,

Re: ??? Free NRA Membership ???
There's an easy fix to this. Just email membership@nrahq.org with your membership number and ask to be placed on the "Do Not Promote" list. The junk mail and email 'spam' will stop coming within a week or so of their confirmation.LaserTex wrote:Don't harrass me! I get enough of that in real life...don't need it.
