I am faithful to vote, but always wait until everyone is finished flapping their gums.

I encourage everyone to get out and vote...it is a much neglected responsibility.

Never thought about it but I guess it could be bad if something came out the last day or so to change my mind.

I try to decide between the candidates based on their record, or lack thereof.

Anything that comes out in the last few days before voting day is likely to be a dirty trick along the lines of "Why won't Joe Blow open his medical records? What is he hiding? -- intoned by the scary movie trailer guy.

We did our bit. DynaBlue even changed to the other party's ballot, since there was no one on hers for whom she wanted to vote! :thumbs2: :

We voted yesterday afternoon. It's kinda' silly to vote for someone who has no opposition...or, am I missing something?

It tells the candidate that someone supports him or her, versus not caring.

Candidates are human beings (at least until they have been in office several terms ;-) ). It must be discouraging to see 10,000 votes cast and only 100 for you.

In NY-23, Dede Scozzafava got enough votes to change the election before she dropped out.

Just came home from voting, and was surprised that barely a handfull of people were voting at my polling place today.

I voted on Friday. The election judge told me that attendance has been steady....one at a time. Which makes sense since this is a primary election. We get to vote for who we want to vote for later in the year.

That means our vote is, like Seamus says, more important now than in November. :tiphat:

I am about to head down and vote right quick. Do the same rules about carrying apply for early voting?

The early voting location was in a community college. No 30:06 signs but I did something I rarely do regardless of signage, I left my hand gun in the bushes just outside the parking lot so I would not violate any carrying on school campus laws.

Not really, but I did leave it in my vehicle. The thought did occur to me that I was in the school parking lot with a weapon. Is this a problem?
