Small pistol safe

#1

Post by Bulldog1911 »

Hey guys,

I'm looking for a small DEPENDABLE gun safe to store in my nightstand or under my bed. I bought the microvault like this one
" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
a while back, and it worked great for about 3 months. Now, it's completely random weather or not it will open. I was thinking of going with a biometric, but not sure if there are any out there that are really dependable. After all it is still electronic. Anyway, think I've decided on a mechanical version similar to the Titan gun safe shown here : http://www.titangunvault.com/gun-safe/titan-gun-vault" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
But, I really don't want to pay over $300 for it. Anyone know of something similar at a little cheaper price?

I just got this one from Amazon.com based on the reviews.
" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It's cheap compared to most of the ones I found locally and it doesn't open as fast as the type like you already tried, but it feels very solid.
The keypad is very responsive and the locking mechanism is smooth.

wow, for 39 bucks, might as well give it a shot. How long have you had it?

A couple of weeks. It uses AA batteries so replacements are cheap.

I've got a similar one but it's longer with the door mounted in the front considered a laptop safe
It works very well secured with a cable lock

I bought one a week ago (May 8)and the best price was $48 w/free shipping. I looked at the link yesterday and it was $39 and some change. Called Amazon but they only adjust their price when they lower a price $20 or more. They did give me a $5 credit so the second one was 34 bucks w/free shipping. One for my side of the bed and one for my wife's when the grandbabies are here. :thumbs2:

Depending on where you live, this item is also available at WalMarx.

Excellent find though, this will fit perfectly in my center console. Can't wait.

Just curious. How much at Wally World? BTW, No sales tax at Amazon, which you probably already know.

I've used the Beretta safe for YEARS....actually got them free when I purchased some Beretta handguns years ago. Was sort of shocked that they are $200 but mine have been rock solid and don't use batteries. I haven't had any problems with the locking mechanism and they are a nice heavy weight metal.
