My first renewal - 40 days from submit to license in hand

Post by Morgan »

Took my class on Sunday 12/9, scanned the docs and submitted them electronically the same day. Today 12/12 my status shows:

Application : Received
Fingerprints : Not required, fingerprints on file
Affidavits : Received
DL or ID : Valid
Citizenship : No documentation required
Passport photo holder : Not required for renewal
Photo : Not required for renewal
Proof of Classroom training : Received
Proof of Proficiency training : Received
Fee : Received
Background Check : Under review
Concealed Handgun License : Print pending completion of application review

So we're moving right along. Curious how fast I'll get it. When I got my license in 2008, a lot of people were waiting a long time, and my process only took 37 days. So fingers crossed that I'm so squeaky clean that I just pass through. Odd because I have a VERY common real name, so I can't imagine how many of guys with my name are bad dudes.

My license showed up on 1/19. Good turn around time, just over a month.
