Violent criminal registry
Does Texas have a violent criminal registry like we have a sex offender registry.

Not that I'm aware of (and Ive been duckduckgo, googling and dogpiling). Ive found this

but it kind of worries me that you can submit whatever you want for $15
There is the Violent Offender DNA act which doesn't include samples from persons who have been convicted of Federal crimes, crimes in the District of Columbia, or crimes while serving in the military.
