These idiots probably won't learn until one of them actually gets shot.

It makes me sick that someone thinks that type of behavior is funny. :headscratch

Three guys look like they are trying to surround him and one with an apparent deadly weapon. If he had drawn and fired immediately he would have been justified. (well, I don't know about New York)

All I know is in Texas if you're walking in a public park and a group of thugs surround you with a bloody axe and raise it above his head & comes at you, you are in your legal rights to draw your legally carried pistol & drill him.

I can not understand how this is legal. I've seen many videos of what would appear like people breaking the law but for some ridiculous reason is completely legal because "ITS A PRANK!". That is sickening. Prank or not, walk toward me with an axe and your gonna get shot. Multiple times.

It's not legal.

If one of those people who is running away happens to get hurt, they could easily sue them for every penny they have. If they are living with their parents, they could probably bring them into it also. I would normally not be in favor of lawsuits, but this is one case where I would not be sympathetic.

It is a really bad idea all around.

Violence and death in pranks are funny only to those who haven't seen those things up close and personal in real life.

In the age of instant gratification, instant (viral) fame, and the ability to make a living by posting video clips to internet sites, this sort of behavior is apt to continue or even get worse. This is the society we collectively have built, or at least allowed to be, and like most folks here I feel that too many around us have a base-level existence devoid of real lasting virtue or value -- and risky, dangerous behavior follows.

Doing stupid things will win you stupid prizes. I'm glad nobody was seriously hurt. {Can you imagine being the guy that shoots and/or kills someone because of a stupid prank?}

But I thought it was pretty funny when the guy with the kids clocked the clown.

What I can't believe is the guy continued to do the prank even after getting punched. If that were me, I would end my little prank spree there.
