SB11 Campus Carry House Floor Debate 5/26/15

Post by joe817 »

It's on the Major State Calendar to be heard today, Tuesday May 26. Live broadcast begins at 10:00am.

There are several 'calendars' on today's schedule. SB11 is on the Major State Calendar, 2nd reading. It's contained within the Daily House Calendar. If the House follows the order in which the bills are listed, then it is in the 4th position to be heard.

It's also listed(for today) on the Supplemental House Calendar:

Also it's interesting to note that HB 910 is on the calendar Items Eligible For Consideration. It's eligibe for consideration today at beginning at 2:40pm. The feeling on the forum is that it will not be heard until Thursday or Friday. I tend to believe that, but who knows?

I guess they are making the recognitions, waiting for the Reps to get onto the House floor. :totap:

House is chugging along the list starting at the top of the "items eligible for consideration." Currently on HB311.

Yup. Looks like they are catching up on the bills that were on the calendars for the 24th & 25.

Supposedly, HB 2187 is the last bill they are going to discuss before going to the Daily House Calendar. Did I hear that right?

I heard that too but it seems as though they have continued on to HB2812 and HB9?

ETA they just moved on to HB189 although it wasn't eligible for another 5 mins. Could they potentially keep moving down the list and voting on senate amendments to house bills until they get to HB910?

House standing at ease until 12:15.

I heard the Speaker(temporary?) announce they were continuing on the "Bills eligible for Consideration" calendar. I guess to give the Speaker time to finish his coffee & donuts before going to the Major State Calendar. :biggrinjester:

Nope....standing at ease until 12:15. Grrrrrrrr..... :totap:

Patience? With Democrats planning anything and everything to run out the clock, we need to get this show on the road and get the bill passed before midnight.

Strauss is at the podium. And the Dems are already at parlimentary inquiry. Next they'll throw in point of order.

More delaying tactics. Methinks they are preparing for political battle.

I think there's a motion to suspend rules so they can continue with the eligible for concurrence calender.

Wasn't the motion to hold all bills scheduled for third reading until the end of the day?
