Do you get an "email" notification that it is complete, or do I have to check the website everyday?

DPS does not email notifications. You'll have to check the website. As much as you want too! 2 weeks after they received my packet, I was routinely checking 3, 4, up to 6 times daily.

Just something to do, don't you know.

They aren't too nice if you call. Its better to email they give you more info on your status and they don't have an attitude.

You and I should recieve about the same time. My dates are about the same as yours. I won't start bugging them until I hit the 60 day mark.

Got the good news this morning.

"Application Completed - license issued or certificate active"

God willing I'll be carrying in a few days (If the mail man doesnt loose my plastic)

Your good news compelled me to check mine too and guess what. I'm legal, just waiting on plastic. Woot!
Kind of cool feeling. Means I've led a pretty good law biding life. I've been wondering if there was anything in my past that could hold it up and today I got my answer.

It helps to call them repeatidly, 5 times a day and be as mean and offensive as possible. A few select curse words helps to dress it up. This method always gets there attention and sympathy. LOL

I origionally submitted the paperwork on the first week of Feburary. On the 18th I sent an email requesting my PIN as I had not received it yet. Never did get a responce, but when I got home that night, I had a letter from them. I had forgotten to fill out the date on prevoius addresses.

I corrected it, and received my PIN letter in the mail about 2 weeks later. Been checking several times a day since then, even weekends.

Well today at lunch i check it and got the coveted "Application Completed - license issued or certificate active". Hopefully I'll have my plastic by the end of the week.
