I kind of knew that mine would be an awkward application with me being here on a "non-immigrant" visa. If things go smoothly with USCIS, I am about 6 years from getting my Green Card and at least 11 years from becoming a Citizen. Apart from that, I am a law abiding, tax paying Texas resident who wasn't born in Texas but got here as fast as I could!

Just sent my friend and State Rep a request to hire more people at the DPS and propose "Constitutional Carry."

Just had a call from Valentina at the DPS requesting a copy of a different I-94 to the one I had submitted. I faxed it off straight away. Fingers crossed that's all they need and my CHL will be "manufacturing" tomorrow.

I just called Valentina at the DPS to check that everything was OK with the documents I faxed yesterday and she said that it was and my application had been approved and I should receive my license in 10 to 12 days. So if you happen to see a 270 pound English guy in Walmart in the next few weeks................presume he is carrying!

Man now i'm going to be freaking out every time I go to Walmart because some guy might be carrying... Congrats on the pending plastic, be safe.
