It probably depends on a lot of factors, but I've fired 7.62x54R rounds in my 1942 Mosin Nagant M91/30 that were more than 50 years old.

I have surplus ammunition from the 50s, and it goes boom.

I may start selling ammo from my stash if this keeps up. Holy Cow!! I wonder how high this stuff is going to go?
You may want to keep your stash. In fact you may have to defend your stash from those who do not have any at all.
You may be right!

Just keep clicking re-load. I've noticed BulkAmmo has been putting up even more than AmmoMan. Natchez has had some but priced a touch high (not CTR high, though). The key is to keep a few of these websites windows open and then periodically hit re-load through the day. I have stocked up in the last few days enough to keep me shooting all my calibers through this panic period. Just keep hitting reload.

Here is one more tip for BulkAmmo - you gotta bookmark the 9mm html page directly. When they get out of stock, the 9mm ammo option disappears from their pulldown menus. When they restock it, you can see it immediately if you hit the 9mm page. But if you just hit their main page, it takes the page about 5 minutes to refresh and add the 9mm option to the menus. By then, the ammo is usually gone.
Here is the direct link to the 9mm page for BulkAmmo (you can't find this link on their page now as they are out of stock, but this is the page you need to reload often on):

That sign was at my local academy(Rayford-Sawdust southern Montgomery county) yesterday. It was in front of a lot of empty shelves.

Not suprising. This buying spree has been going on for a lot longer than people (me included) initially thought. Guess I'll have to start making a run every other day.

The Academy near me also has the same sign up. What is funny to me though is that they have no practical way of enforcing the new ammo limit. They can limit you to 3 boxes per purchase but if you go in once in the morning and then again in the evening when the shift changes, they will never know you were there twice in one day. My dad went in one day just to see if they were actually enforcing the limit and they were on each of the purchases he made.....30min apart....from the same customer service rep.
I think the ammo limit was prompted more by the long lines early in the morning and people complaining of one or two customers purchasing the entire shipment's worth of a certain caliber when the put out stock in the morning. Dad phone me the other day and said a son and father were first in line one morning waiting to go in and purchase ammo. They bought about $5k worth of ammo and bought all the stock of 3 different calibers. I tend to think those 7:30am crazy rushes to buy ammo were too much of a liability.

One thing that just occurred to me is that you have what amounts to several Black Fridays happening three times a week at several hundred locations, many of us probably armed, and a bit of hightened anxiety. Yet everybody is keeping their cool & nobody has gotten out of hand.....

Was at Walmart in Denton on loop 288 (south side), they had maybe 7 boxes of Tula 9mm and signs on ammo case you could buy 2 boxes of 1 caliber at a time.

i know they are non-grata to a lot of you, but I don't care. CTD has Armscor 9mm target ammo in stock for $20 per box. Hope they actually do have it in stock.
