dang, I mailed my stuff in last week and it still says theyre waiting on the materials.

Mine took 1 1/2 weeks in that status.....then one magical day it switched over to background check. Have no fear, soon you will join us in the 'Background Club'.

Well, was waiting on some stuff to submit my renewal. Need it by early April. Mailed on President's Day (well, dropped in the box anyway), shows delivered on 22-Feb @ 12:05 pm, so 48 hrs including a gov't holiday... not bad I guess. We'll see how it goes from here. Hoping for no lapse.

I mailed my packet 1/27, DPS received my packet 1/30, and updated the website to "Background Check Under Review" on 2/8 and it's been there since. I just called DPS to make sure I sent them all the necessary paperwork. The guy told me they had everything they needed, there's nothing disqualifying on my record, my background check is actually complete, and that they're just waiting for a technician to process the paperwork - which I'm assuming means "Manufacturing." It shan't be long!!!

I sent mine in early January. It took 55 days for it to change to 'Mailed' status. (Currently waiting for USPS) I was almost looking forward to day 61 just so I could call up and bitch.

60 Days exactly - Mailbox to mailbox. Received mine today. Which is apparently 30-35 days longer than most people.
