Fat chance - can't use the old "hanging chads" excuse this time.

Removing that group from office during the next election and undoing the laws they passed would reverse the results of that disastrous election.

Was hoping to head to the range tomorrow, but once again .45 is no where to be found in the clear lake area! What the heck, I thought we were past all the shortages?!!

Prices ran up due to fear, not fact. I tend to buy in bulk when fear is low. Unfortunately, my supplies are dwindling.

academy usually has some.
I went to Marksman gun range last night and they had alot of .45 reloads. didn't pay to much attention to factory .45 ammo, but i bet they have some. Also have you tried The Arms Room?

I've been turning into random WalMarts and finding .40 ammo on a semi regular basis. Some boxes of 50 and some of 100. I happened to be in a Sport's Authority yesterday for one thing and tripped across their ammo supply. They had at least a dozen boxes of .40 and .45. I didn't think to look for 9mm, but I wouldn't rush right over there anyway. The .40/50rds was $27.**, Walmart's 100 round price. I asked them if they sell very much and they said they did not. So, I told them that this was the price they could get 100 rounds across the street at WalMart. They didn't seem phased. Oh well. Maybe their keeping it for themselves.

Funny you should mention that C-dub. The nearest Wal-Mart is at I-30 & Eastchase, and since April .40 S&W was the ONLY ammo they always had a supply of. Sometimes 3 boxes, sometimes 10-12, but always available. Maybe it was just the location & not very many .40 shooters.

.40 cal winchester WW 100 has been plentiful around here ($28), so has Federal .40 in 50 round boxes($14). NO OTHER handgun ammo has been readily available at WW to my knowledge. .38 special is non existant and 9mm is hard to get at WW as well. While .223 and 5.56 is plentiful .

I have been looking at the same WW for months and have had no luck finding .45 ammo. Lots of .40 but no .45. I can say that I have since found a reasonable source of ammo for range use. T's in Texas city sells reloads, think I paid $30 for 100 last week. They seem to be good enough for target practice. Great Forum by the way.

I guess that is because I heard that the greatest concentration of CHL holders in Texas is in the Clear Lake/League City/Friendswood area.
Not quite Clear Lake but T's Guns and Ammo has Remmington 45 for c.$23 for 50.

most of the WM's around the H have plenty of 40 and 9. .45 is very much hit and miss

I see .40 at just about every WW that I go to in the SW part of Houston. 9mm & .45 are almost non existant. For those of you in Central Texas (Belton / Temple) the Super WW in Belton usually has inventory of most popular calibers.

I know pawn shops often slightly overprice their ammo, but Best Pawn Superstore in Denison (right next to Sherman city line on Texoma Parkway) has ammo for the cheapest I've seen in the area. I bought 50 rounds of Remington .38sp for $15 and 50 rounds of Winchester FMJ 9mm for $14. Other stores in the area are priced around $20 a box for each.
This won't help too many people because I think only a handful of people on these forums are in that area, but if you can get out there they have nearly every caliber of ammo I could imagine right now - I haven't seen them have this much, ever.
