If I put on a wet suit (if they made one large enough) I'd just look like an elephant seal.

Hello,

I am 41 been in the Army since 18 years old.
Married.
MP

I have had a CHL in NY (that's right NY State, it does happen), AL, WA, NC. So I guess I have been carrying awhile.

Had one in Texas since I got back here in 2001.

Kinda wierd I had a permit in NY when TX did not even have it as an option.

Own a bunch of guns.

Usually alwasy carrying a Beretta 92G Centurion or another type of Beretta (I have a dozen of various types and calibers). Figured I would carry with what I use for work and compete with. Not to say a 642 isn't in a pocket as well.

If anything happens, always have years of training and practice on my side. Berettas work fine, they seem to get a lot of bad press, they shouldn't.

Anyway, hello to all here. I bet I shoot IDPA with a bunch of you.

Take care.

Age: 28
Gender: Male
Profession/school status: USAF Civil Service (Computer Support)
Marital status: Married
Years CHL: 2 Months (yes, I'm a newb)
Carry guns/equipment: Glock 30 in a Uncle Mike's Sidekick IWB holster(temp); Plan on picking up a Tucker 'Answer' shortly

Lurked for a while, finally decided to introduce myself.

As far as firearms, I also own a Glock 17 and S&W 13-2 .357 Mag, and my have has a Springfield XD45 (service). We currently have plans to pick up 1 or 2 more pistols (A S&W 1911PD and maybe a lil .22 to plink with) and start working on getting our long guns, starting with a shotgun (thinking along the lines of a Mossberg 500). I have always enjoyed firearms but have finally got into a position where I could start buying them....

My interest in owning a CHL came up when I started to travel alot more to see the folks. I do not like being unarmed while traveling, so I carried in the car under the traveling provisions, but felt uneasy doing so driving through Austin and Dallas. When my dad told what all it took to get a CHL (He is also a CHL Holder), I went ahead and took the dive. Now, I carry anytime I can, which does get limited because of where I work.

Hey there!

Brand new, took the class, waiting on a little extra money to cover the app fee.

Been lurking for awhile and decided to join.

31, single(engaged and co-habitating), I do Second Level Computer support for a multi national corp, 2 dogs, she has 3 cats, I enjoy cooking, reading and long walks to the target posts.

I have always been a gun enthusiast but have only fairly recently started collecting and seriously shooting.

I'm hoping to learn a lot from the fine Texans in this forum. I suppose people from "other" states might know a thing or two as well. I also hope I can contribute the small bit of experience I have back to the community.

First post, Hello Everybody.
