Well, according to our own poll here, most of us carry .45 and 9mm than .40.

Since i don't own a .45 YET i was looking out for you guys today while on a ammo run! Academy in Webster has Winchester 100 round white box .45 auto for $45. I think that's a high price probably but i don't shop for .45 so i dunno, BUT they have about 8 - 10 boxes. Also they have 45 colt and so does sports authority in league city.

I went there around 4:45 and they had no 9mm , no .45, and no .380. They did have .40 s&w federal and .40 s&w in WWB , i picked up a couple federals. I then went to the sports authority around the corner, and they had 45 colt, 9mm, 357, .38 sp. + p , .40, and a few more pistol rounds. They where higher then i have seen these same boxes by at least 5-10 bucks. However if you want it they do have it, though NO .45 ACP and help there is something you must have to demand. I was ready to buy but....They did have Ruger 10/22's for 199.00 and i thought that was fair.

From what I've experienced, the best time to get good deals is an hour or 2 before the show closes on Sunday, ;-)

Funny you should say this. Friday, an old friend and I were talking. We both go back to the days when the Moody Center in Galvestion held shows, the Saxet show was held the last weekend of every month in Spring, and the Pasadena show was held in the small building by the rodeo arena.

The subject was how many years it had been since we had seen a 'Sunday afternoon deal'. Where dealers would discount something to avoid packing it back and forth, now it seems they would rather haul something around for months before they would discount it.

Well Mike, I'm certainly not gonna argue with you there, because what I experienced was 23 years ago! :tiphat:

Last weekend was the first show I've been to since then. My how times have changed.
