I mailed my complete application on 6/18/12. I'm hoping that my application goes as quickly. 28 days mailbox to mailbox isn't that bad!! If mine goes as fast, I should have it sometime this week!!!

My wait is over... CHL received today!
28 days from the day I mailed the docs to DPS... much faster than what I expected.

OH YEAH!!
I've been watching my online status almost daily. It was driving me nuts. I sent my stuff in mid May. I've been in background check for about a month and a half. I checked it this morning and it was still in background check. I checked at lunch and !!! it was updated to manufacturing pending.

Mid-MAY?!!??!? I'm wondering why there seems to be such inconsistancy in how these are processed! I see so many people that it takes around 28 days for and then others that it takes a few months on. I'm actually in that 28 day window now. I'm not sure that my feeble little brain will be able to handle it if I have to wait a few months.

I had an interesting conversation with them today on the status of my CHL. Today I got told that all of my background information has been completed and I'm okay there but now we are waiting for my photos and class certification to be scanned in to the system. When I asked how long that takes I was told 2-3 weeks. Heck, they could send it to me and I can scan it in and send it back to them in about 5 minutes. At least I know that the background check is completed. Now it's just a waiting game for all of the logistics to get completed. This is fun!!
