you find whatever page you want as a link , then highlight the URL , then you right click and copy the URL .
when you are posting a message , you choose the URL tab at the top ..in the tool bar .
then you right click and paste the URL here...>
try it in the test section a few times and you'll get it .

You do??? I just highlight the entire link at the top of the page, copy it, and past it in the text box here.

Makes sense. I just got myopic and couldn't see the forest for the trees. Never looked past the forum window. Duh!! How 'bout the url box on the browser...doh!
Oh well, that's what you old timers are here for. To drag us newbies kicking and screaming through the minutia.
Patience....

Good news!!! I emailed DPS for my pin yesterday 9/8/09 and within a few minutes got it back, I am in processing. I spoke to one of the state employees and she said; the main delay in getting the CHL is the influx of applications since the beginning of the year. She also said that there is some delays on getting the information back from the counties especially from counties like Harris (Houston). Wouldn’t you know it that is where they need to verify some of my info.
State received papers 8/17/09
Processing 9/8/09

Man, this is unbelievable! The wife and I took our class on August 1 and Austin received the packages on August 5. I just checked my status and it says...............
Application Completed - license issued or certificate active.
That is only 35 days!!!!!!!!!! I listed employers in Dallas and Denton counties so I thought that would slow the process. Guess I was wrong!
