Ghost-

I received my PIN before I sent my app (applied online, had to sign app, send in fingerprints, photos, proficiency, etc.) It is 60 days from when they begin "processing" your app (after it is received) for new applications, and 60 days from when your renewal is received. You should be hearing something online or in the mail from DPS shortly (sixty days from Feb. 10; or you could just call them and see how much longer it is looking like).

Just checked DPS site and this is what I found....

Application Completed - license issued or certificate active

:woohoo

Now, it's up to USPS! :waiting:

"Application incomplete - missing information - detailed letter has been sent."

I was on roughly day 45 too.

:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

This resets my 60-90 day timer, right?

Well, found out that I was missing a couple dates for my residence section. Faxed and mailed the corrections today. Ugh.

Start the clock all over.....I was 53 days in.

Ugh. :banghead:

I guess I am living up to my name....again.

I am on exactly the same timeline and it is driving me crazy. Every day, I am relieved that it doesn't say there are any issues but every day, I am disappointed it still shows 'Processing Application'.

Then there is the nonsense about 60 days after receipt by DPS or 60 days after receipt by designee. I am working off of 60 days after they got the stupid packet so at the end of this week, the contacts will begin.

So on Friday I wrote my State Senator and at 10am this morning I got a call from DPS apologizing for the delay and telling me I have been put on the expedited list. About 30 minutes after that I got a call from the senators office making sure DPS called me. So I will let everyone know if this works keeping my fingers crossed. Sadly I am now going to be out of town for the rest of the week so maybe my CHL will be here when I get back.

01/31/09 -- CHL Class Taken
02/02/09 -- Packet mailed USPS certified w/return receipt
02/04/09 -- Confirmed delivery in Austin
03/04/09 -- Status change to processing
04/03/09 -- Sent letter to State Senator
04/06/09 -- Application put on high priority list
XX/XX/09 -- Application Complete
XX/XX/09 -- Plastic in hand!

Well, my 60 days is up this thursday, put in a call to State Senator Van de Putte's office this morning at 1:30 am and received a call from Alexis this afternoon! She called DPS and said would get the ball rolling on things! We'll see what happens! I'm not so sure Senator Van de Putte is pro-gun or even pro chl for that matter, but hopefully this will light a small fire under DPS to get my license to me a little quicker. Anyone else in the san antonio area get their CHL recently??

Yeah I figured somebody would chime in with a comment like that. We'll see what happens. Looking on the bright side, at least I'm not in Harris county, and I know my application is rock solid :)

Male Nurse XD,

I am just about a week behind you out of Dallas county. So we will see how this works out. I am looking for any movement on your app, hoping that means I am a week out from seeing movement on mine.

Darn!!! "Application incomplete" and I expire on April 12. Seems there was a date left off of the TR-100
