I am right there with you guys. I have been at mailed since 11/5.

This part of the waiting is definitely the hardest.

10/06/2010 Completed CHL Class
10/07/2010 Mailed packet to DPS
11/05/2010 License in the mail
11/09/2010 (still .....waiting by the mailbox)
11/10/2010 Received my CHL today!!!!

10/16 - CHL Class
10/19 - Mailed Packet
10/21 - Packet Received - Certified Mail
11/4 - Fingerprints Complete
11/9 - Background Check Complete
11/10 Manufacturing

d2bl..... Unfair, you took the class a week later and you're already in the same position of license status that the rest of us that took the class and mailed in the same time together. You must know someone up there

Hey Harley Dave, I've been waiting on the government to get their act together for 28 years now and all they tell me is get in line and wait!

NavyGunner, know what you mean. It seems though the lines never get shorter, just more frustrating if you know what I mean.

My (replacement) photos just turned green-now just the background check.

10-25-10 Paperwork mailed
11-3-10 Finger Prints under review
11-10-10 Finger Prints Done/ Back Ground under review

This is Day 16 after I mailed it in :)

Good reading on Yogurt and guns; being near DC probably one was a democrat and one was a republican, guess which one had the gun???

Spluloacle; good luck in waiting, hope your patience is good. Now the waiting begins anew. Each time they do something they take longer for the next step, I guess they're admiring their work

Yes they are admiring how slow they are All things considered it has not been that long and that's awesome.

What irritates me is that I check the DPS website 3 times a day (or more) and my buddy who never checks , and who sent his application in a couple days after me-has his CHL already.

So the easy thing to do is STOP CHECKING IT
